It's not easy, but I avoid the commentators before or after the speech and prefer to actually listen to what the President and the "Loyal Opposition(s)" may have to say about where we are and what the government should or should not do to help "the folks". I try and form an understanding and opinion then check the propaganda that follows disguised as analysis by the press.
